Today was inspection day with our local health department and we are elated to announce that we passed!! We are officially stocked at The Dandy Lion on the Taylorville square!! You’ll find our farm-raised beef, pork and pastured eggs there. We raise Angus-Hereford crossed cattle on pasture, which we then grain-finish, to help give them that flavorful marbling. Our hogs and chickens live their best lives, being able to root in deep bedding and peck out in the sunshine & fresh air.
When we first started out, our goal was to raise enough quality meat, to feed our family. As we went on, we realized the lacking quality & sought out ways to share our abundance. We have been attending farmer’s markets over 5 years but kept wishing for ways to be able to share in the “off-season”. So we couldn’t be more thrilled that our farm-to-table goodies are now available year-round!
We process once a year, so you’ll have to bear with us, as we figure out “stocking issues”. But we’ll try our best to learn & grow, as we move forward. We want to become your “go-to” source of farm-raised goods for years to come!
